I was thinking of buying a VGA cable to hook my 360 up to my 20 inch wide screen LCD monitor.  I have a few questions before i buy it though, does it look better than a SDTV and what about sound?  I have 2.1 speakers on my computer, can i use those, if i can how? If i can't use those what do i need to get?  I am guessing there is no problem just hooking the cable to my monitor and to my xbox, my main question is what to do about sound.

The VGA cable brings the same features as the component cables, the normal red/white cables and an optical output. If you want to hook your 360 to your speakers i'm guessing you have to get some type of adapter to hook the white/red cables

Comp monitors are pretty much like small HDTV's. That's how I have mine set up. as far as speekers the VGA cable has audio going out in RCA type plugs so if you want it to end up as a little headphone type connections you might need a $2 part at radioshack.
