Hi everybody, today for Christmas I received a new monitor,it is a Samsung 19 inch 963 UW.I must tell you first that I will only use it for my Xbox 360,never gonna use it for my computer.I don't know if it is important, but I figured that I would specify it.I already have my official Microsoft vga cable.I tried it with my old monitor with built-in speaker and the sound+picture was working.I plugged it in my samsung monitor, the picture is showing up,but there is absolutely no sound.I plugged it in the mic once and in the earphones plug. But,neither is working. So I would like to know how can I get sound from this computer who HAS built-in computer...The only time I hear a sound is when I raise the volume with the little button,I can hear a little BIP.

Thanks a lot guys and by the way, sorry for my english,I'M french

I have a 22" HP monitor that I use for my 360 and I have the same issue. Picture is great, but I can't get any sound and can't figure out how to hook up speakers directly without having to go through my PC. I ended up buying a Turtle Beach Earforce wireless headset that transmits seperately from the monitor. Works great, sound is awesome, and I don't wake the wife with my games late at night. It does suck because no one else can hear without the headphones, so good luck with same-room co-op with buddies. Most of my gamer friends have 360's anyway so this is not a big deal for me, but it could be for you. If you just play single player or on LIVE, though, buy a headset and you get awesome sound and a mic built into it.

Ah. Well mine also has built in speakers but nowhere to plug in the audio cables attached to the VGA and get sound out. I would look into the headset, it has better sound than speakers and is also cheaper.
