I just got Forza 2 at Wal-Mart today and I'm having trouble with steering (no steering wheel).Whenever I make turns, I spin out of control.Should I change to steering with the D-Pad or what?

Do I have to change certain assist or options?

P.S Saw the Red Ring of Death in Wal-Mart today.First time I've seen it in person.

Maybe lay off of the gas when you make a sharp turn just like you would a real car.

Brake before the turn, turn and most important DO NOT brake or accellerate when turning. When you are lined up after the turn, accellerate.

Its most important with RWD cars. FWD rarely spin.

This will sound dumb but what does RWD and FWD mean?

Is there a type that's best at turning (FWD)?

Well a FWD doesnt spin in the corners but they understeer pretty badly. They are also not nearly as fast as RWD cause when you accellerate a car the weight end up in the back of the car so the front wheels doesnt touch the ground as much as the back wheels hence less power between the wheel and the ground.

RWDs are faster, have more power, but they oversteer a lot. Also they slide like crazy unless you learn how to drive them.

You can set them up to become easier to drive. You should check the official forums for more info on that.

Thats the beauty of Forza 2. Its pretty realistic.

this game is a simulator, i would imagine u are holding your car flat through corners,

how about to get used to the game you try to drive a lower powered car.

focus on doing majority of your braking and accelerating while not turning.

also press up on the d-pad to bring up the telemetry, then toggle to the page that shows a circle for each of your wheels, and lines that poke out in different directions, this is a good way of realising the limits of your car, the size of the circle represents the grip of your tyre, and the line represents the force been placed on that wheel, if the line reaches outside of the circle, you will break traction, if the line does not come close to the circle you can safelypush the car harder.

remember to use the accelerator and brake more as a pedal than a button, roll them on and off, don't jump straight onto one or the car will tend to slide as the weight shifts suddenly

hope that helps...
