Need help with turtlebeach xlc headset.

I just bought the gaming headset but my tv doesnt have a headphone jack, and I use hdmi plus i lost the original DVI cables that came with the xbox. So i cannot connect the headset to the tv, but i can connect the 2.5milimeter jack to the conrtoller and i was wondering if its possible to atleats hear the xbox live chat without connecting my headset to the tv. (Iv been hearing the chat from the TV but i wanna hear it from the headset)

If you do not connect your XLC to the television, you will not be able to hear the game chat even if you just plug in the controller cable. If you have a headphone jack on your television, I would recommend connecting it that way. Either way, if you lost the cables for your XLC, you can get parts here (just click parts and accessories):

don't bother with those links. does ur headset have the red/white audio cables? u need to hook up ur AV cables and hdmi at the same time is all. if you need to modify the av cable to fit the hdmi underneath just use a flathead screwdriver to take apart the plastic case. you should have to plug the av cables into the headset cable then plugged it into the tv.

i did that both sound still wont play from teh headset.
