need some help on oblivion.....

I need help on defeating the rats in the first part of the game i mean first level i kill them with magic but sometimes i miss and they corner me and just keep jumping on me and killing me by little. Now i cant defend myself or anything it really gets annoying what can i do to stop them from killing me if i get cornerd up. Now im past when king dies and i need to go down to sewers but i keep getting killed by damn rats. dejo256

Sometimes in the game you may get pinned against walls... You may get stuck, you may get hit... Creatures may kill you, so on...

But one thing you always have to remember about Oblivion... Don't always stick with one thing.

If you are always trying to hit stuff with fireballs, you will miss, and sometimes, it won't work.

Learn how to use a sword.

It helps :).

I know you don't need help now... But, if you were having trouble at that point in the game, you will need help soon enough. 

This is very funny, if this is your firstime in The Elder Scrolls i can understand that you dosnt know how to play but a rat! just a rat in  Oblivion is very easy to beat.

If you play Morrowind a rat in lvl.1 is very difficult but not in Oblivion.

Look your skills and use the best weapon for your character, in the beginning is the Captain Renar( or something like this) Katana.
