I was gunna go out buy a xbox but now I keep reading stuff about them breaking. My friend said those were the 1st gen 360's but the problem was fixed in april 2006.  Is this true, if they break all the time I'll just save my money.

Unless the box you buy was made earlier than January last year than your fine, no problems outside of the normal console bugs and kinks

Well, lets look at it this way. Go through the forums, and look at how many post there are about broken xbox's, quite a lot right.

Now, find out how many people on gamespot has an xbox.

Heres what people dont seem to understand. EVERYONE ELSE who hasnt posted a thread about a broken xbox, means that there xbox is ok.

I mean, if all you people want, everyone who's xbox is working can come on here everyday and make a new thread saying "my xbox is working". Suddenly, it doesnt look lioke that many are breaking in comparison.

The only reason it looks bad is that if you broke your xbox, you post about it to get help, so ONLY bad xbox's are posted about.

THere perfectly reliable, dont worry, things just get blown out of proportion on the internet.

broken 360 due to hardware failure are a thing of the past. if someone's 360 is broken nowadays it's cuz of their own stupidity. i hate to say it but i see alot of my 360 is overheated!! then someone asks where do you keep it?? the OP says in .....(some small space where there isnt alot of air flow) so buy a 360 enjoy the heck out of it and just dont put into a small space where you cant get any airflow to the 360 and dont put it on carpet.
