Say it aint so. I purchased a 3 month live gold card tonight just to experience the Netflix streaming on Xbox. I got my free Netflix trial and I clicked the area on Live to download the update for Netflix. The next screen gives me an activation code and tells me to plug it into www.netflix.com/activate.

Great. The only way I can get on live is to unhook the eternet cable from my PC and plug it into the xbox. So I plug the cable back to the pc. Netflix times out and says it couldn't find the device. Oh crap so my Xbox must be online at the same time??!?!?! If so, that means you must have a wireless connection. If that is true, I am really pissed off and feel lied to by Xbox. I could care less about Xbox live and just wasted my money.

Just do one or the other? Get two ether cord? Get a wireless adapter, there are ways to make this better.

You realize you're just about the only person out there who still has to alternate connections? Why not just run another cable?

But no...MS screwed you...lol

Hes not the only one with one cord... my room is about 100 feet away from my router, and I have 1 ethernet cord running through my walls to my room. I have to share it across my PC,Xbox 360 and PS3. Although you could try a second router, not sure if works cuz I never got around to trying (I have a feeling that it would screw with the IP's and not work but who knows.).

Well if that were the case, that you need both on at once it doesn't mean you need a wireless connection you just need a router, it can be wireless or wired and connect both at once.

No you don't need a wireless connection. You just need your PC and Xbox connected at the same time... It isn't impossible at all or really misleading at all. And really you don't need you PC and Xbox connect at the same time, but you may just need to to activate it, after that you should never need to have both connected at the same time again.
