About a year ago I went over my buddies' house and tried out Mass Effect for a bit, and I never really found it that intriguing. ( I only played the first mission or so) Now, I'm looking for a game to get into for the rest of the summer, but I'm not sure what. I now checked out Mass Effect and ME2 and I they both have really high reviews, so now im conidering trying to get into them again. Is it worth it? I like rpg's, and I really enjoyed Fallout 3, but I'm not so sure about this one. Is ME 1 and ME2 still worth getting into?

Yeah, the very beginning does not show of the game's high points at all. This game is all about choices. You'll be given a whole lot more decisions to make as you progress to more worlds. Not to mention the sheer amount of armor, weapons and upgrades you'll encounter.

I finished the first four worlds up until I accidently wiped my saves. My favorite world so far was Feros. The lighting and the narrative in that environ was exquisite.

I bought ME last year, traded it in two days later after playing 5 minutes of it. I rebought it a few weeks ago, and its now one of my favourite games. So yes, I strongly recommend it.

It is one of the best games I have ever played. The story line is so intriguing in Mass Effect 1 that they're in the process of turning it into a movie.

Mass Effect 1 takes a bit after the very first mission to really get into itself, but man is it worth it. Story, dialogue, graphics, gameplay are all top notch. Don't like listening to lots of dialogue? Then don't. You can play it as an RPG or turn it into more of a shooter style depending on your tastes. ME2 just sweetens the deal. Especially considering how awesome your companions are: *GARRUS* cough cough

it's just white noise at this point, but yeah, pick them up. i totally missed the boat on the first 2 and picked them up within the past year. loved them both. they have their quirks, but all in all they're great games with great story lines and everyone gets a different experience. i'd definately recommend them.

I'm one of the few that never got into the first one at all, i liked the beginning but hated the repetitive missions and vehicle sequences. However, i still picked up Mass Effect 2, and i loved it. Better combat, no vehicles (unless you count DLC). If you're unsure about playing the first one again, just go read a story synopsis to get yourself up to speed, and jump right into Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect is a great game. It is one of my favorite rpg for the Xbox 360. I have completed 5 playthroughs part 1 and twice in Mass Effect 2. I highly recomend them both!

Yeah, the Mako sections in the planets that hosted the side quests were freakin lame as heck. Anomaly. Debris. Anomaly. Debris. Anomaly. Debris. Repeat that a hundred times over. And the Maws. My God, the Maws were more annoying than Pee Wee himself.

Other than that though, the sheer amount of choices in the game were astounding. Choices that affected the people, the world, your loadout. It was definitely worth it. Not to mention that the choices you made in the first iteration will carry over to the second, making it a more personal experience than most games.

If you like RPG'a anyway, just get it. You'll probably end up enjoying yourself. I thought I was going to hate it when I first bought ME1 but I took a risk and I ended up loving it. If you have any interest in Sci Fi, that'll help. To me Mass Effect presents a universe deep enough to rival star wars, well maybe, but that's a discussion for another time.;)

TC my best advice would be try it again, or better yet play ME2 first. I tried playing through ME a couple of times and would always get bored with it when I was on the citadel. I'm not a run here, run there, then run back to the original point type person.

I ended up playing a rental copy of ME2 and fell in love with it. It's a really great game. After playing ME2 I went back and played ME, and once I got past the Citadel I found the rest of the game to be pretty good.

I got Mass Effect 2 on release, and even though I've never played Mass Effect 1 I found it to be a really enjoyable game. Worth buying.

If you never found it intriguing, then don't get it. Just because a majority of gamers play/like a game doesn't necessarily mean you will like it. We all have different but equal opinions.

Get into Mass Effect. I didn't like it at first, but then I came back to it and it became one of my favorite games for the 360. Just an amazing game.

It's a really fun space epic with many choices that YOU get to make that impact the story. In other words this game is amazing and everybody should play through it at least once.
