Never thought I would say this....

but Im trying to get the RROD. A couple of days ago the color on my 360 got all weird I would get green and blue spots covering my whole screen so I figured the RROD was coming. Yesterday I finally saw the red lights so I immediately called M$ for the box (this is my second RROD). After I got off the phone the damn thing started working again but it still has the messed up colors. I dont want to send it off without the RROD because I dont feel like paying 100 bucks for repairs of something that should be working. I work nights and left it on all night last night and am doing the same thing tonight, hopefully when I get home in the morning it wont be working. If anybody has any ideas how I can speed up this process please let me know.

Yea but I seriously doubt they would spend the time to actually check all the hardware and make sure that was the problem. They probably just turn it on and if anything else happens but RROD the call it a hardware failure and charge you 100 bucks.

I think I read a post on here yesterday of some weirdo freezing his! My wife and I got a good laugh. My 2 year old also laughed, but he had absolutely no idea why he was laughing lol.

towel trick it while it's still working.KUHawksFan

you should wrap the power supply and the system with 2-3 towels and let sit there for and hour or two

For the record the reason you got weird colours is beacause you need to push the component cables all the way into the TVCarbon_Python

I think you would be fine sending it in anyway. Quite a lot of people who get RROD find it sometimes turns on fine after they've left it alone for a while. You shouldn't have any problems sending it in to MS, and don't risk burning your towels :)Avenger1324
