I was thinking about getting burnout 360 since its cheap and cause I wanted a racer that's fun for all the friends. Is a new burnout game on the way? I dont wanna buy it then 2 months later the new one come out...

EDIT: sharpel, they took out crash mode because now they have an instant crash setting now. Just as you are about to crash, you hit a button to change over to crash mode and you get scored on your crash.
Burnout Paradise is coming in 2008 I think, but they are taking out Crash Mode (confirmed) :cry:Shrapnel99
I never liked crash mode anyways. Too many games, too little money... I think I'm selling my PSP game collection sadly as my PSP was stolen and it doesn't seem like I'll be buying a new one :(

NO NO NO... Crash mode is still there Just that the name of it has been changed,,,, this is on one of the developer interviews on gamespot.... the one where gamespot went to EA.....
i was never really into crash mode either but i was a big fan of the burnout since it was first released on the ps2. thins one looks really good but has alot of competion around it since theres a new need for speed that looks awsome plus PGR3 just came out also and some others.
I'm still sticking to my guns that the open-ended world in Burnout: Paradise is a terrible gimmick. Why should I want to drive to the next race? I'll be driving plenty aside from that. I mean, Burnout: Revenge, I've played that for 80+ hours. Now the experience is going to be made more convoluted for no clear reason? Meh.

I was watching On The Spot a few weeks ago and they were demoing Burnout Paradise (them, meaning the creators) and they just renamed Crash Mode, they didn't take it out. I don't remember what they called it though.
Yeah, I'm definitely getting Paradise too. I've been a Burnout fan ever since I played Takedown, which was the first I played. I never really bothered with the two before it. Revenge was awesome as well but it did look too much like Takedown. I will love Paradise though, a big city to roam around in... nice.

Ya I'm a bit skeptical on the open world thing. I guess some of the races will be get from point A to point B using which ever route you want. Which means you may follow the arrow incorrectly and end up at a dead end and have to restart the race. I don't want a navigation challange I want a fast paced race challenge. Should be interesting to see if they can pull it off. I loved takedown, that was the best arcade racer Ive played.

Oh, I see. I read that they took it out in a magazine, but the magazinedidn't mention that they just changed it :P
