hi, i wanted to know if the new xbox's that are out, the ones with the new heat sink etc..., are proven to have less errors if any for the xbox? do they still get the red light and overheat or is that problem moreso fixed now?

Yeah, they're way better. The Red Ring of Death problem is now officially over. If it happens to you, you are very unlucky.

Right now I have a old one. dec. 06 and have the RROD on it. When I get it again that I know that I will. I'm just going to end up buying a new one other then getting it repaired.

I'm starting to think about that as well, buying a brand new one when they REALLY fix the issue for good with proof etc.

I think it works really good, Once I left my Xbox on for 6 hours straight, And it was really cool it wasn't hot at all in the back showing that Oblivion was in it and it didn't freeze I think it works really good, And it is defintly not as loud.

How do you know you have one?

Consoles that were bought after September 2007 should have one, or look at you serial number the batch with 41-42 FODC (something like that) definitely has one
