No-one knows anything concrete at the moment - Bethesda haven't said a word. I'd like to think it'll be their next game though!
Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas were built on Gamebryo. They had a new engine for Skyrim - think it's called Creation (?) and that seemed more stable for most from the start. I'd be happy with a Fallout game built on that... very pretty.
This. fo3 and fonv both used the same engine as oblivion. Skyrim introduced their new engine which im sure the next fallout will be onFallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas were built on Gamebryo. i'm still having fun playing New Vegas, but haven't heard anything about a "new fallout" either. I wish they'd release a Fallout on IOS too. Fallout3 on the Iphone would be awesome!

From what I've heard Creation wasn't really a new engine but a heavily-modified version of Gamebryo. Which I can believe, seeing as how Skyrim still had the subpar animations that past Bethesda games have had.
No word on a new Fallout as of now, but it isn't like Bethesda will abandon the series. They have no reason to do that, we will eventually see another one.
I heard talk about them doing research for a new Fallout game, set around Boston, but for now it's all just rumors and only time will tell if something comes out of them.spike6958
Even if only speculation, that would be a great setting for a Fallout game. I've always thought a neat setting would be somewhere that was cold and snowy.
I don't think it'll be that far away. The gap between Oblivion and Fallout 3 was two years (I think... anyone know for sure?). Skyrim's been out for just over a year, so maybe late next year? Also, let's not forget how Bethesda seem to announce things these days. They don't start building hype YEARS ahead. Skyrim appeared around E3 2011... the game dropped six months later. To my mind, it's not a stretch to guess they'd likely do the same thing with Fallout 4.
