Do some research yourself. Not knowing you, we don't know what system suits you better. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages...but above everything, both will provide a lot of hours of fun, so make the decision yourself!
That would be about it. If you want good games now, then get a 360. But if you are able to wait and want a Bluray player, go with the PS3. I personally recommend the 360 but in the end it's up to you.

The PS3 benefits from a built in Blu-Ray drive and is very reliable. With that said, the Xbox 360 has undergone some drastic internal redesigns to reduce heat output and power usage.
As the PS3 is only just really starting out, you may want to hold off to see what games come out for the system as in the end, it's the games that count. Depends what you like tbh.
HMM depends do you want the best games and best online playwith the best download content and XBLA then get the Xbox360,if you want the best gamesystem with generic games but hasa built in Blu Ray then buy the PS3.
**** please, if u want games get a 360, if u want a computer that plays really **** games and has crappy controlers get the ps3, BUT ALWAYS US A KEYBOARD!!!!:cry:
Honestly, you're not going to find much of a difference in graphics between consoles. The real significant difference is in the games. Some you will find in Sony's machine. Others will be on the 360.
Both offer online play. Sony's is free. Xbox's is better but at a nominal price.
Another thing to consider is the controller. See if you can try out each for about an hour. You may find that you like one more than the other. Considering that the only part of the game that you can actually feel is the controller, it should be something that you are comfortable with.
