So 900/1000 of the points on Halo 3 can be done in single player. What do you think about that? I think it's cool because since there's no weapon achievements no one will be boosting online that much (of course they are going to boost, one of the achievements is get to General or something and that's like 500 wins at level 50).Trickshot771
So are the other 100 for buying the overpriced collectors edition?

no, you get a sweet master chief helmet for doing that...I'm more of a single player guy, as Idislike/don't care about99% of online people I meet out there. Give me a great campaign mode, and I'll be set for life.

no, you get a sweet master chief helmet for doing that...I like having a strong majority of the achievement points coming from single player. For most games, the achievements that come from multiplayer are just grind fests until you get a large amount of kills. To me, that's not an achievement worth bragging about; it just shows you play that gametype or use that weapon a lot. Plus one does not feel forced to play ranked matchmaking in order to "complete" the game. It did not take long for me to quit matchmaking in Halo 2 in order to avoid all the trash you have to play with.StealtherX

Speaking my mind for me, thank you.Â

If this was on Bungie.net then i would believe it, but since its on this cheesy third party site, I still dont believe it. i really dont care about the achievements, but i just dont believe it. Why would they have it and not bungie???

They get the achievements list from xbox.com. They sort of datamine the website every now and then from my understanding.

On the site it has an official link to xbox.com. If the achievements are in xbox.com I don't know how much more proof you need...if you want bungie to show them, they'll just show the same thing.
its a great move. this will put an end to the games where people send so much time getting an achievment that they dont even focus on winning. no more " i call sniper" " dont touch it or ill quit! i swear!" lawlessx
yea, i know what u mean
i do love shadowrun, but the shear number of players who just mess around trying to get the achievements like "one frustrated sniper" is amazing
I all ready created a post about some thing like this. There are 745 for single player and 255 for multiplayer to be exact stringer4
Actually, if you read the descriptions for the achievements carefully, there are quite a few achievements that you can unlock in single player as well as multiplayer (10 headshots, for example). If I have a choice, I'm going to do it in single player.

Thank god, I'm getting tired of people wanting to get sniper in Gears of War just for the achievement.

It's 900 offline and 100 online, to be precise.

ya, bungie is all about not excluding ppl, so it's only natural that they would make most of the achievements single player. plus i think this gives a small hint as to how awesome the single player is going to be!

lol funny post but i agree with u totally!
I like it, single player achievements are great, you can play the game endlessly trying to get them and not have to ruin online games in the persuit to do something specific like kill so many people with gun x, or play so many of y gametype.Oni_Ookami
It's a good move by Bungie. After all, giving a game easy achievements boosts sales and rentals, regardless of its quality.blue_tape
this game probably didnt need any help, and these achievements arent necessarily "easy" but time consuming. But atleast now we can believe the people saying that they beat legendary.
