new hdtv but old xbox 360...

now as yall know the old xbox 360 does not have hdmi...so i'll be hooking up vga to this new television

but it is not labeled as 480p/720p or 1080i...

there is just one set of component so how will it show up??

i know it won't be 1080p...since its not hdmi but what than??

component is 720p... If that's what you're asking. if im not mistaken vga will also only give you 720p.

my component cable displays 1080p

Component, vga and hdmi can all display 720p and 1080p(but some tvs wont accept 1080p trough component) . tony_fjellborg
