I think Magna Carta 2 is coming out this year on October 13th in the US... though it's developed by a Korean company, it's published by Japanese publishers. I'm not sure if that counts, but close enough. i don't know about any other releases for this year

Magna Carta 2, as mentioned above, but I suspect it will be delayed. It is on my radar however. Outside of that, there really isn't anything to mention as far as Eastern RPGs......... I think there are some on the PS3 though.

Magna Carta 2 is the only one I know of for the 360. I'm looking forward to picking up Persona for the PSP though. ;)

Star Ocean came out a few months ago. And theres Magna Carta 2 later this year like the others said. This seems to be a slow year for jrpgs.

So far there's no good, or well-known JRPGS coming out this year :'(. Thankfully I still have Tales of Vesperia to beat, and Star Ocean 4 + Lost Odyssey to catch up on.

Has there been any announcement on Lost Odyssey 2? Mistwalker has been very quiet for a while now...

I'd rather have them make a new IP.

Well, they canceled their third game they were working on for the 360 - Cry on - Some time ago. They said they'll be making a sequel to Blue Dragon that will likely be for the 360 but there really hasn't been any word on when it will be coming. Not so much as a screen shot has been posted. The only game they've been talking about recently is Blue Dragon: Great Beast of the Under World for the Nintendo DS which is coming to Japan next month.

I'm not sure they intend on supporting the 360 much anymore, the cancellation of Cry on seemed a clear indicator. They've been working on DS games more recently. In any case, we're just going to have to wait and see.

I haven't noticed anything worth looking into until FF XIII. Japan has mostly gone to handhelds with their RPGs it seems.

PsiCrisis

Sorta. A lot of the handheld JRPGs are remakes.
