Has anyone heard anything about if and when they will be releasing new content for Left 4 Dead? The game was made by Valve and Turtle rock who are responsible for one of the longest running online PC games of all time with Counterstrike, so it seems a given that they will be supporting this game with additonal content. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of when any new content will be released, I looked on the game page on XBox.com but was unable to find any info. Thanks in advance for anyone with any info for me
I'm really hoping that they do, and I think it's pretty obvious that they will eventually, but all we can do is hope that they do it sooner rather than later. :D
Valve will undoubtedly be offering great support for Left4Dead and releasing new campaigns - for PC Their track record on consoles, namely Team Fortress 2, has been non-existent. Extra content, maps, achievements, weapons etc have all been made and released for PC, but nothing has come to consoles in 14 months, and no date when it may eventually come. This is the downside of buying a Valve game on consoles :(
wait, I thought Valve was going to support like they do on PC? Well at least thats what I heard from everyone who hype this game said.. Also, the box doesnt say content download :?
I wouldnt count on any soon, Valve rarely delivers (if at all) on console games. Their big online console game, Team Fortress 2, has recied extra maps, achievements, weapons, etc, but on the PC. Its been like a year, and no downloadable content to the consoles. SO dont expect l4d because if anything, they should focus on TF2. xD
I'm really hoping that since they released the game with only 4 "movies" they'll be able to get an additional 1 or 2 released within the next month or so. I know its not easy to create content for games, but if they dont release content soon people will start trading the game and the online community will dissapear. Valve needs to get on this ASAP.

When a company is known for having Valve Time it's a safe bet that new content is not imminent.
From what I've heard the 2 campaigns that are missing from the game in VS mode will be coming and I beleive they will be free, but after that it'll cost you.
I heard rumors, that there will be a L4D map editor coming, like Halo got one . giving the fans the change to make their own maps and upload and share them. this i heard in the game itself on xbox360 if you play the game no mercy with directors commentary. Also there will be new maps coming. said in the same message......
I read that an update is coming, to be released on PC and Xbox360 simultaniously, which will have new campaigns and the addition of Death Toll and Dead Air to the Versus Mode. Source
I paid an extra $10 for this game on 360 than PC gamers they Better give us more free DLC than the two VS maps that should have been on the disc in the first place. The game is amazing but it definately feels unfinished.
i've been going through withdrawel... i haven't been able to play for a couple weeks because I got RROD. I haven't even played through all the campaigns yet. I agree though that the game felt kinda unfinished or more like a mod/add-on. The new content should be free or at least EXTREMELY cheap. If it is anything more then 400 points MS can go suck a ****.
