looks great and i cant wait
but for speculation does anybody think it is las plagas making a return or some new virus no one knos about
fantastic find dude. I swear to god I giggled like a school kid during that trailer. Finally we know where it takes place, it obviously looks like their using story elements from 4, and I must say Chris' new partner is a welcome addition to the babes of REceells87
We already knew it took place in Africa.

They said it was an outbreak of an virus from volcano ashes so no I dont think it will be Las Plagus. I believe this will be a brand new virus. Something that umbrella might have used to start the t-virus.
Interesting to note how the enemies behave much more zombie-ish than in RE4.

No, its definitely Las Plagas or something like them. The trailer showed without any ambiguity that the villagers in this game are infected by some type of worm. And the fact that the villagers grow huge scythes out of their necks when beaded like the villagers in RE4 did more or less proves that this is the case. So there's really only two possibilities at this point:
1. The devs lied/changed their minds and we're back to parasites
2. The Las Plagas in this game are infected with a virus
Either way I'm disappointed. Hopefully this game will actually bother to have a good backstory unlike RE4 which didn't bother to tell you anything about Las Plagas except that they're very old. If they actually incorporate a plot this time I'll be happy, but since it looks like the devs aren't changing a single thing from RE4 other than the location and characters I doubt that will be the case.
Also, in what way did the villagers act more zombie-ish than the ones in RE4? It looked to me like they acted the same. They travel in groups, move as fast and in the same way as the ganados, carry and use weapons, have a guy with a chainsaw who wears a bag on his head for some inexplicable reason, I mean there is really no difference whatsoever between the villagers in this game and RE5 other than ethnicity.
The trailer was amazing :)
And for those of you who follow the RE games as close as I do, doesn't the parasite remind you of the Nemesis parasite used on Lisa Trevor? Las Plagas started off with eggs, but I think I see a villager stuffing one of the baddies into another villager's mouth. So I'm guessing these things DONT start off as eggs. So no, I dont think it's plagas. However, I am kinda disappointed that they have to use enemies infected with organisms that look like the belong in the movie The Thing. It's like RE4.5, bleh. Oh well, Im only interested in story and action
And it's good to see other enemies (the dogs). I was going to be heavily disappointed if all the game had to offer was the villagers. But that would be blasphemy if that were the case :P
Looks great, but honestly, Capcom, stop rehashing RE4. It was a fantastic game, but don't overdo it >.

i think he means the village people in RE4 werent Zombie-ish but of course that was only for the beginning. Gawd i still remember those ******* zombies with needles in them at the factory. so scary  i hope RE5 kills me
if there going to be throwing hordes of these "villagers" it will be difficult, which imo will make the game more scary because if ur in a intersection of one of those streets and u turn around and one of them is there in ur face that would be scary. but i was surprised to see my favorite thing back
THE CHAINSAW WIELDING MANIAC
I just hope they don't give you too much ammo in this one like they did 4. Two things I liked about the old ones is
1. You had to actually think to complete the puzzles, the puzzles in 4 were really were just push this block.
2. You could not kill every single enemy in the game with guns because you would run out. You had to actually run for your life at some parts.
Awsome this could be the best RE to date. And all you damn people saying "give me the old RE back". Forget the old RE it was fun when it was first played but now that type of old RE gameplay is outdated we want something like RE4 (which RE5 will be).Master_Jdog
It's not outdated at all. I just said in my last post the main 2 differences between the games besides backstories. Since when was thinking outdated?
Wow this game is amazing and im black/I dont call it racist, because we killed white people like 4 games straight already lol.So it couldnt be racist, will be buying this/I should go pre order it rightnow.YoungDab
Yea, it's really stupid that people are calling it racist. I can't remember 1 black zombie in and of the 10 or whatever RE's previous to this but the moment black zombies are killed because the game takes place in Africa then it's racist.
Capcom said that the enemies won't be zombies or ganados so I guess that would rule out Las Plagas?
Anyway, I pointed out that the RE5 enemies behave more zombie-ish is because in the video when it shows Redfield up on the rooftop and looking down and shooting at the enemies, they are moving more slowly with thier arms stiffly sticking out and moaning and groaning so to me that makes them more zombie-sih minus the flesh rotting and canniblism.
They also act like that in the underground tunnels too.

A lot of the people complaining aren't necessiarily complaining about the gameplay, we're complaining that the series has abandoned the plot, setting, and atmosphere of the original games. The series really isn't about being scared anymore, zombies, or viruses, its about parasites that could never possibly exist (they're too intelligent and far too large to fit inside a person) infecting people and turning them into psudeo-zombies. You could easily cut down on ammo, set the game in small corridors, and use crimson heads instead of zombies, keep the 3rd person shooter mechanics and the game would be just as, if not more, difficult, challenging, fun, and true to the series. Hell, you could probably keep ammo levels the same if you just put in a lot more enemies.
Here's my concern: If RE5 forces you to run away from the mobs then we're back on the right track. If, on the other hand, the game gives you tons of shotgun and TMP ammo and grenades thus allowing you to mow through the mobs...we've got problems.
there making it like barricade cabin through the whole game
wonder what the bosses are going to be like

There was alot more ammo than in the other games. The fact that you could go through the entire game killing every enemy and unless you have a horrible accuracy never run out of ammo is what I'm talking about. If they still have as much ammo that you can do that and they bring back the merchant I would at least be happy if you didn't get free ammo for upgrading your capacity.

Yeah, but the old style of game was from the old gaming days. It just wou;dnt cut it on a high budget anymore. I like that they took the scary and turned it into panic. Now you are overrun with zombies that can slightly think and surround you and mob you and you have to shoot and run and try not to die while surviving. Personally, it is a big improvement for the series. They game YOU are looking for will be Alone in the Dark. (also a game i'm excited for and ca't wait to get).

IMO it's not a big improvement for the series because the game is not challenging whatsoever. My first playthrough of RE4 way back when I died once and normally I don't die at all on a playthrough after that. If I played one of the old RE's my first time on anything but easy that wouldn't happen.
