Hi, I got my 360 today and was wondering if after a long period of time playing do games start to get a little lag, maybe load lag? Nothing unplayable or anything but something that might catch your eye every once in awhile. I was playing gears of war for an hour and a half or so and started to notice some things. Nothing really bad I just happen to really really hate lag and visual problems so I seem to notice them a lot.

I just bought my 360 a bit over a month ago but not had any lagging or anything. Maybe ur machine is broken or overheating or something.

I've had my 360 for a couple of months but haven't experienced anything like that. But congrats on getting the 360! Enjoy!

Hm, well I don't know if I got a defected one or what. Is it normal for it to be really loud when playing gears of war? How often do people get defected ones right off the bat?

If your console is taking longer to load and the disc drive is louder after playing for a while, it means your console is overheating.

1) Make sure your console is on in an open space with plenty of air flow

2) NEVER put your console on carpet

3) Make sure the power brick is in an open space also.

If you pass these simple steps, point a fan at the side of your 360 to help with ventilation.

If you think that's loud, wait till you play Crackdown, the disk never stops spinning because it's constantly drawing and re-drawing the city.

So its normal for it to be that loud? And this is right when it starts up not later on.
