My personal fav though is SF4. Its just hands down the best imo. Deepest most complex fighting system thats easy to get into yet tuff to master. Great character roster and more balanced than the usual fighting game. Flawless online which has yet to be bested imo. BB comes close as its pretty lag free online and does have replays but SF4 takes top place for best online exp. MK unfortunately takes the worst. Ive had nothing but awful experiences online which led me to stop playing. It is a great game though.

I was personally wondering why he keeps posting junk :S
From the ones I played MK takes the cake, great story mode, great graphics and characters, lots of challenges. The only bad thing I found about it is the lag during online play, it is impossible for me to connect with one, don't know why as this hasn't happened to me with other games, ever. And on MW2 I'm always the host while playing (I know this because if I quit a game it will always find another host and then allow me to quit the match).
Never played BlazBlue or Marvel vs Capcom (may change that once Ultimate MvC 3 is released).
dead or alive 4 was made in 2006 and is still the best fighting game to date with the best online modes, features and rank system, takes the most skill too. The whole game is balanced unlike street fighter where some characters can fly across the whole map.
