I'm looking into purchasing the new XBox 360 4GB and had a few questions before I make my purchase.

1) Can the XBox 360 4GB stream m4v files from a file server?

2) Can you stream Netflix without an XBox Live Gold Membership?

3) Will I be able to play all original XBox games with this model?

4) Is the 4GB memory not considered a hard drive? If not, will buying an external hard drive (non-Microsoft) allow me to do everything?

4) you can use an external hard-drive but the xbox will ONLY allow you to use up to 16gb of your external no matter the size.

edit: I bought the 4gb 360 last week

Why is M$ selling a 4GB 360 now? Are they trying to trick people that don't know anything about computers into buying a system with next to no HD space?

Well, before this, they sold a 512MB Xbox 360 or was the old arcade only 256??. So, this 4GB one is actually 8-16 times the space. If they are trying to trick people, they've been doing it for almost 5 years now.

1. I can stream the same types of video as the 250 GB version. I think they can handle m4v. I'm not 100% sure. 2. Can not stream Netflix without XBL gold. 3. You can not play original Xbox games without a hard drive. I'm pretty sure it must be an internal hard drive. I'm not 100% sure how the whole 16GB USB memory stick thing works. Pretty sure that does not count. 4. As I said in 3, I don't think a USB hard drive will allow you to play original Xbox games. I think it lets you do everything else. As has been said, no matter the size of hard drive, you can only use 16GB of space off the hard drive when connected by USB.
