New Xbox 360 Backward Compatible?

I am just wondering if the new Xbox 360 consoles are backward compatible. I have a great collection of old Xbox games that are compatible with my current Xbox 360 that I would like to play in the future. So, if anyone out there has a new Xbox 360 and could answer this question for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the new 360 can do everything that the old 360 can do but quieter. The 360 uses software emulation to be backward's compatible with the Xbox, so you just need a harddrive to be compatible.
