Agreed, but it'll still sell. This new Games on Demand basically requires those with a 120gig harddrive (the Elite) which consequently is going to have a price cut. Coincidence? Oh no. It's all strategy, they will push sales on the marketplace and Elite units in retail stores.

Now if you really wanna get into overpriced items, let's take a gander at a standalone 120gig harddrive, $134 on amazon and that's lower than most places.

Bioshock is $30. plus a lot of there games are at a reasonable price. Mass Effect, Battlefield: Bad Company, Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed: Carbon, and Need for Speed, Most Wanted. they aren't at a perfect price, but they are the most reasonable.

if it bothers you so much...don't use it it really shocks me to see just how much people are surprised about the prices for these games. did you really think they were going to sell them for $10-$15?

I actually compared Xbox Live prices to brand new copies of the games sold on Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop. The prices listed on Xbox Live are generally on par with waht's available retail. In a couple cases more, in a couple cases less. So it all evens out. One thing I noticed is that brand new copies of many of these titles aren't even carried anymore in brick-n-mortar stores. Not even online. You just can't find a new copy of Need for Speed Most Wanted or Kameo. So yes, Games On Demand does have its place. In fact, I'm going to get Need for Speed Most Wanted. Gamestop used is still 24.99 while it's only 19.99 for download.
