I'm sure this has been asked before but does anyone know if the console will have any kind of transfer kit for it or at least one that works with it? The last ones were specific to the hard drive size, if I remember right, so they wouldn't work with the 250gb hard drive.

I seriously don't want to have to start all my games again, especially with the line-up in October, but I guess if there's no other way...

You don't have to start all your games over again. How, you ask?

Simple.

Don't buy a new system :o Seriously, if the one you have is working, why do you need the 'Super Elite?'

My Elite has issue after about an hour of gaming i experience video issues. It blanks out for about less than a minute multiple times an hr. sometimes i stop playing and use another console because of this. I am going to try HDMI to see if it is the component cables but yea. I am in the same boat as you if i have to swap in my 360 before warranty expires in NOV. So if you find a way to rescue game saves please let me know.

Dude, what are you talking about? The 250GB isn't being sold sep. and it would cost like 200$ if it was. How is that cheaper?

Why do people keep posting stupid answers that do not answer the question? i'm also wanting to know if there is a way to transfer all the data from my 120gb to the 250gb. I already have the cable and disk but can't find out if it will work with a 250gb and before anyone asks, i'm buying the 250gb console because I can and I want to. Oh and no I don't want to transfer everything piece by piece via memory card like i've seen people suggest on other forums.

Yes, it is not size oriented, you'll be fine.

It does not recover your saved game files. This can only be accomplished via the transfer cable. Your online downloads are linked to your gamertag however so this may be what you mean. Surely MS will be coming out with a new transfer cable or state that the 120gb one works with the new 250gb hd.

microsoft have confirmed in an email to me, you cannot re transfer your data. so who to believe? this needs to be made clear before people spend money on the new console.
