New Xbox consoles

I'm moving to China soon and want to update my console before I go. I have one of the old edition ones with a Hitatchi drive. I want to pick up a newer one that will be quieter and produce less heat. The normal xbox has the chip which runs quiter but I haven't seen confirmation that the Elite ones have. I would like the elite, but above all the noise of the mahcine is my main concern. My question is which console is best to get right now and also as I'm moving in August do I wait a while to see if any newer/more efficient models are brought out or is that unlikely to happen.

Well if you don't want to upgrade your hard drive. Then pick up an Arcade, and then use your old hard drive. And even if you want to upgrade your hard drive. It's cheaper to pick up the Arcade, then buy the 120 GB hard drive. You save around $50.
