I just bought an xbox one on the 1st of this month. 2 days ago. I have a few questions maybe some of you guys can help with.

When I set the xbox one to shut off after 1 hour of inactivity it doesnt seem to do it. I fall asleep watching netflix or hulu plus. Maybe that could be why?

When I put a disc in the drive to play( everything is already installed) it starts spinning. Now if Im not ready to play yet and I go to hulu or netflix, how long does the disc spin before it stops?

I had a few others but I cant remember right now. So far Im loving the XO! Its really nice. Super quiet, doesnt get hot at all. Super quick.

I haven't put any disks in my X1 so far (got the AC Unity bundle) and when I'm finished playing I just power it down manually. I wish I could help you with those questions.

Something that I personally had an issue with is closing down a game instead of just suspending it my 15 year old stepson couldn't even figure it out. What you do is hit the big glowing Xbox button while in-game and that will shrink the window down and bring you back to the X1 interface then press the menu button (little black button on the right) a large window will appear with the option to quit at the bottom. Perhaps you already figured that one out though. Something worth noting is that the menu button options can change depending on what's being highlighted so if you want to completely shut down a game or app make sure it's highlighted.

Well, the combat is more difficult in AC: Unity that's for sure. No more spamming block for guaranteed instant parries because it's now timed and no more chaining kills so basically you're taking a chance by taking on more than three enemies; especially if there is an elite officer or brute in the mix. Not to mention every damned enemy NPC seems to be packing a pistol which can be very frustrating at times. Overall I like the new combat the added challenge is more rewarding and doesn't feel cheap after a while unlike in previous AC games. The system does need some tweaking though. Ubi needs to tone it down some with enemy NPC ranged weapons; with that said Brutes shouldn't carry pistols because it's total overkill. It's not uncommon for several enemy NPC's to unload on you with pistols and rifles all at once! As a matter of fact it happens quite often and can spoil the flow of combat and ultimately the fun that go's with it. Graphics are gorgeous the world is huge and the sheer number of people that are on the screen at one time will completely blow your mind! Besides that it's a typical AC game it has it's share of quirks but definitely worthy of some time.

As for Black Flag, that's the whole reason why I came back to AC after Brotherhood! I've always loved pirates, cannons and the clashing of swords ever since I was a kid so nobody needed to twist my arm with this game. I don't know what to say here other than you'll eventually take ownership of a Brig that's fully upgradable and the progression is well paced with plenty of carrots to chase so you won't get bored. I found that once I got my ship all I wanted to do was upgrade it, so I spent a lot of time hunting other ships disabling them then boarding them for upgrades and items that I could sell for decent profit like rum and sugar. The ship combat is very satisfying and the story and characters are interesting. I recommend playing this first before Unity though.

what about the console itself? I hear a lot of them have issues.

That's bullshit my system is perfectly fine same with everyone else that I know who owns an Xbox One.

well i bought the bundle. everything seems fine for now, only thing is the game installs take FOR-FUCKING-EVER to install.

controller is cool, system is beefy, as long as I get some good exclusives like I did on the 360 I'm fine.

Yeah I hate the long installs I don't understand why the X1 is such a step back from the 360 in that respect. Oh well, I'm sure that it wll be improved eventually. I like the controller too but I find the shoulder buttons to be a tad high to be honest.

i don't think the install time will change, i hear that they designed it like that, and theres no way for them to change it through an update.
