So I just bought a new 360 and for some reason, while trying to create a second Live account the console froze after I accepted the license agreement. Also, the console happend to freeze once as I signed out of XBOX Live as well. I find this pretty weird. The console was bought on Black Friday at Best Buy by my cousins who brought it over to Canada for me. After checking the back panel of the console I noticed that it was manufactured in 2006. Should I call Microsoft and ask for a replacement? I'm pretty dissappointed I got such an old console despite it being apart of the newest available bundle and it really made me mad that it started freezing already. Any ideas? Help would be appreciated.

Mine does it too, I don't know why, but just deal with it for a little bit and it goes away.

No, it should not be freezing as I have made like 5 profiles on my 360 that are all xbox live for my friends and brothers and dad.

Wow, a newly bought console should not be from 2006. I think your cousin did a little switcharoo on you. That means it does not even have an hdmi port.

Should I call Microsoft about this? Maybe I can get a replacement as going to the states would be pretty hard.

Like the others said, it sounds like your cousin kept the real newly bought 360 and switched it with an old one.

You can open the box and bags without damaging anything at all.

The Best Buy promo for black friday was Xbox 360 + Guitar Hero II w/guitar. It wasn't stated in the ads that this 360 had an hdmi port. I'm thinking that Best Buy was selling all their 2006 360's with the guitar hero bundle. I don't think your cousin messed with you.

Well I called Microsoft and they agree that the freezing thats happening is pretty weird so I'm going to have to send it in... This really sucks. I never thought it'd happen so quickly.
