I understand it's been beaten to death before but I feel it's really worth bringing to light. Do we truly expect a device we paid over $300 for to die so quickly from normal use? I'm on my third 360 myself and even then my current one is artifacting and giving me grief.
I'm not looking to sue MS or anything. I'm not looking for sympathy or a refund either. I willingly bought my 360 knowing about the problems with the hardware against my concience just to play Oblivion early, since I didn't have the PC I have now back then. I know that any problems I have with my 360 will be covered at no charge up until February 17th 2009 (warranty). So I guess my question is this.
Are good games really enough for people? I only got a 360 to play Oblivion and anything else after that was just icing. So what if games like that we're exclusive? (at that time Oblivion was PC-360 only). What if Halo 3 was not only on one platform? What would make you wade through all the negative press and go through the effort to buy/own/maintain a 360?
