nope, Modern Warfare is it's own franchise now that will not carry the Call Of Duty name, so Infinity Ward will not be making any more Call Of Duty games just Treyarch
1: Future (hopefully not too far in the future, but still on earth, just with tech far beyond modern)...
2: Korean War... I wouldn't mind this... Very few games focus on this war...
3: Vietnam War... I hope not... most games of this war try to capture the mood and ultimately fail... So I would hate to see CoD (an amazing series)... go down the same path...
4. WW2... If the next next CoD is in WW2, I think everyone over at IW/Treyarch/Activision might mysteriously disapear one night... Just saying >.>
5. Modern again... wouldn't mind it... (as long as there is a new story... I am fine with it)...
I wonder how much time will Treyarch take to develop a new engine for COD series, which is now officially theirs. But, if you ask me, a WWI game would be awesome...

Dude, that would be a worst CoD ever. Lasers? I thought Halo sucked. If they did this, it would be the biggest let-down for me ever. Hopefully a Vietnam one. Treyarch did such a good job on WaW, if they did a Vietnam one, it would be a big hit.

I think Korea is a perfect candidate. You could alternate between US and the Turkish brigade-sized UN unit that was attached to a U.S. division. The reason I say this is becuse then you could witness battles such as Kumyangjangni and Kanuri. In addition to this you'd have alternating gameplay styles. US used more defensive tactics, the Turks were more offensive. Also it gives the dev team to try out something new, first person bayonet combat. After seeing how smooth something like Mirror's edge is in the first person view, I'd like to see some real combat, with kicks, stabs and blocks.

im sorry to say but you just made an @$$ of yourself sir, Modern Warfare is no longer a Call Of Duty game, it is it's own franchise now meaning it will no longer carry the Call Of Duty name. Infinity Ward will continue making Modern Warfare games while Treyarch stays making Call Of Duty games.

I'd hate to embarrass you but you are wrong. They have dropped the "Call of Duty" name, and made Modern Warfare it's own franchise. That it why "Call of Duty" isn't used in the trailer... SIMPLE.
I have 2 suggestions. 1. Look GRAW 1 and 2 more futuristic but not with lasers like the other guy mentioned (that would suck a$$) and way more tactical 2. Vietnam or Korea, it would be pretty cool and no one else has done it Ive been watching Apoclaypse now and we were soldiers....it wold be an pretty dang cool but someone did say Civil war/ war of independence that would be intresting......

there will never be a game on any of those choices you made by call of duty.... they will continue to make more WW2 games and more modern games and maybe even a futuristic game, but that's it

I would love to see a Civil War COD. I just think it was a very interesting war, and could be a really bloody and exciting game if thought through well. Vietnam would also be cool, but the only gun you'd probably use is the M-16, AK-47, or the M1. We've all been there and done that, not to mention there's too many games where you roam around dense jungles. I'd love to take a pot shot at someone online with a .60 cal. musket!

Man never rode on velociraptors nor ever encountered dinosaurs. Plus I think this game was called Turok. ;)
I think WW2 is a little overdone at this point. Other than Europe and the Pacific, only the campaign in Africa remain relatively untouched (CoD2 partially touched it).
Civil War would be pretty cool, though development for it would be monstrous since no one has really came out with a Civil War FPS before. Also, it would only be rifles and small arms. WW1, Korean, and Vietnam are all interesting, but please oh please don't go futuristic.
Or maybe the war against the various drug cartels during the 80s and 90s. I'd be into that!

There was a Civil War FPS it just didn't do well. History Channel has a series of games and one of them is a Civil War FPS.
Why would anyone want the Civil war? Yay shooting a bullet every twenty seconds sounds super fast paced if they can even shoot that fast. Anyway a few years in the future not like 400 years just a decade or two.
I think the future could suck. It coulod be okay without lasers and land crawlers. Just more futureistic guns. IDK. Personally id love to see a kore which is just like WW2 but with different envirnments, and i think civil war or world war 1 could be pretty fun if their done probaly.
