Why would it not come to America? Dragon Ball is the only thing keeping atari from utter anailation....

Personally I really excited over this game. Finally, no more crappy Tenkaichi.

Tenkaichi is awesome, and Burst Limit is going to suck. They took a step backwards. Not because it's the budokai style, those games were good too, but this game doesn't even go into the Buu saga; it only has 21 characters and 5 stages. That's pitiful for a DBZ game.

Actually it's 35 characters.

So what if it's only going to the Cell saga? At least we'll be getting a well put together game this time.

And if your not disapointing about the playing style it just makes your argument that much weaker. You'd put a character roster over gameplay?

Tenkachi sucked. The gameplay was broken and unbalanced, the controls were needlessly complicated and the series never evolved. It milked the Dragon Ball fanbase and Tenkaichi is the reason why Dragon Ball Z games have such a bad reputation.

how many times are they going to do the cell saga?

im not even going to try this, looks exactly the same as the other games.

yeah, only 5 stages and stuff

they did downgrade it for next-gen. i was hoping Atari would lose the liscense so a more talented company could put some originalty and innovation to the anime.

try now it is just sad.

Well, this will probably be the first of the series so... even so that they don't go into the buu saga, lets hope that gameplay has the potential of the original budokai. And from what i see, I'm looking forward to it.

Probably about the same amount of times they'll cover the Buu saga.

What else are they going to do, the crap tastic GT? Make up an even worse story.

Atari rarely devlops Dragon Ball games, they just publish them.

At least this isnt another Tenkaichi.

Not really. Super Dragon Ball Z could easily be compared to real fighters As well as the Super Sonic warriors series and the old school dragon ball fighters. The Budokai series is more of a fighter where it's easy to pick up and play sorta like Smash bros and Power stone. The Tenkaichi games aren't really a traditional fighter, but it doesn't mean it's new. It's very similar to Zone of the Enders, although it's battle system is pretty much broken and it's so unblanaced thatm ultiplayer really usffers for it.

I havn't cared for DBZ since junior high. But I remember Budokai being a half decent game to play every once and awhile with a friend but it lacked a lot of depth. Which I doubt has been filled in over the years with the sequels.

I don't know if I'm getting burst limit or not, I really wanted to see some more depth in it, but after GDC its pretty much official that the game is gonna be exactly like budokai 3 with better graphics, and I don't know if I feel like paying $60 for that, Oh and it only has 21 characters and ONLY 5 stages, I'm ok with the 21 characters but the 5 stages is a joke, and to be honest, since playing as Goku is no different from playing as Krillin, I'd rather see around 35 characters instead of 21. The online is cool, but I really don't care, I will deffinitly have to see some more videos and previews at E3 this year, and I will also have to play a demo/Rent the game first before I make my final decision because I do love the DBZ and I do like the games, but I don't know about this one, I just got Tenkaichi 3 a couple months and ago and its a blast, but only because Im a DBZ nerd.

I don't know if the graphics of burst limit are gonna be enough for me to buy the game at $60, if anything I might have to wait for it to drop to $40 or maybe just wait for Burst limit 2, thats right, there is going to be a burst limit 2, you heard it from me first, and it will be released Q3 of 2009.

i rented tenkaichi 3 yesterday and me and my brothers girlfriend tried to fight against each other and we couldnt even see each other the tenkaichi series is crap budokai 1 was probably the best of them all the story mode of budokai 3 with the whole flying around thing, a pointless waste of time just to make the game seem "that" much longer, although i did like how each characters story played out in the series just like in the show. this game will be a start, hopefully they make more dbz games, and they wont run off the path and be distracted by crappy games that they think everyone loves.

The DBZ series has been toast for a while and as long as Atari is involved its not going anywhere. What the next DBZ game needs to do is expand on the story instead of repeating the plot from the Anime every game.
