I'm not a fan of the 2k series. They are good games, but I don't think they are as good as the NHL # games. I own NHL 07 and it rocks, but get what you want.
dude i got the game question butttt, i think im geting 2k7. watch the reviews and decide. im waiting for 2k8 so i can play as the canucks with better stats, even tho they just got knocked out by the ducks :(
2K7 is a better all around game. 07's addition of the skill stick was amazing, but the rest of the gameplay is average at best and the top down graphics aren't as good. In my opinion, 2K definitely won last year. Next year, EA has a great shot at creating a fantastic game if they can refine a few things...
I've played the 2K series for years, but switched to 07 this year because of the skill stick. It just made playing the game so much better. I played 07 more than any hockey game in years! Very enjoyable.

I have enjoyed 2K7. Have not played NHL07 but I do know 2k7 is fun and enjoyable. Think I have around 200 played games. If you like online you can still get matches without waiting too long.
I've played both and NHL 07 is the better game. 2K continues to make the players look like cardboard cut-outs instead of actual players and it really bugs me. Plus I don't like the gameplay (pass...one-timer...goal...repeat). If I were you, I'd just wait and get NHL 08 when it comes out later this year, but thats just me.
i have both, 2k7 has way more features and replay value and the graphics are pretty good, nhl 07 has great graphics but only during cut scenes. The gameplay is really hard to get used to in 07 and the skill stick is fun but only in the shootout, which is one of the only gameplay modes. 2k7 is the best hockey game ever. I play the mini rink with my friends all the time and its a complete blast.
