I know this may sound dumb but I can't get my teamwork above a C- in NHL 09 online. Its rediculous because how am I not a good team-mate when I average 3 assists a game and all I do is pass. Is thier something I'm missing?I always get B+ and above on both position and stats but can't seem to get teamwork.

Turnovers ruin your teamwork. You need to pass the puck wisely, block shots and steal the puck or intercept it.

Teamwork is my lowest rating in Club. A Positioning, B Team Work, A Stats. Even with me being a defenseman, I get open room to pass, block a ton of shots, and I always knock people off the puck or steal it, it's still tough to stay around a B...Play wisely with the puck and it will start going up.

What position do you play? If you're a wing, you have to play smart when entering the zone, if you get knocked off the puck it will count as a turnover.

And also, Go Devils!!!!

I ussually play center or right wing. Turnovers is something I tend to do a lot so thats likely where my C+ rating is coming from. Thanks man.

Pass, call for pass - both successfully, call for a shot (if it scores then bonus), when in a tight spot dump it up there, score for your team, prevent goals and passes...

Not exactly hard to work out what to do...

My problem is with positioning, on BAP as Defense the attack is so poor that I feel compelled to go up and do it myself, but that messes up the positioning when we lose it.

A couple things. I think there is a bug in the game, dumping the puck in counts as a turnover. Which is really frustrating seeing as how EA wants to push the dump and chase on us. Test it yourself, if you've turned over a few pucks that game and you dump one in, sometimes he says "(your name) turns the puck over again tonight"

Attacking as a defenseman is pretty easy, there's many ways to stay in position while you do it. You don't always have to go up with the wings to score goals. If your team is cycling behind the net, run up in the slot and try and catch the defense offguard with a one timer, even if you don't score you should have enough time to get back while they deal with the rebound. And don't underestimate the slapshot. Most of my goals/assists (on rebounds) come from slapshots around the blue line believe it or not.

Also when shooting always try and line up a defender to screen their own goalie. I'm right handed and shoot for the top right post on a screen. You'll rack up a lot of goals with that.

Oh and TC I just remembered that Offsides will also hurt your team play.
