So I've played NHL 11 for the past couple days and the game is wicked. Don't get me wrong I love it. The attention to detail from stitching on jerseys to gameplay mechanics is fantastic. BUT! and this is a big but, how can EA ship a game where a jersey for an NHL team is wrong?! The 2010-2011 Toronto Maple Leafs away jersey in the game is wrong. The shoulder patches are incorrect. The patches should just be a classic leaf symbol, but EA used the symbol from the third jersey (classic leaf with lettering). I've looked on nhl.com, mapleleafs.com and both sites' shopping pages to see the new jersey, and the shoulder patches in the game are wrong. I don't know how EA can put out a game with such an error.

Man, this sucks if true. However, it could be a licencing issue. You never know. I cant wait to play the game myself.

if it's a licencing issue, I don't understand how they can get the Home jersey right but not the Away. wouldn't it be a package deal? and doesn't EA have the rights to NHL and such? The only thing i'm pretty sure EA doesn't have the rights to is International jerseys. And it really sucks to see the crappy ones they have in the game. EA should really get to work on that

Yes, this makes sense. It is either a licensing issue or they created this part of the game (jersey design) before the jersey was unveiled and they did not update. Otherwise i cannot come up with any viable reasons why.

That is some of the little things that get to me about the game. Like was said, its fun... just a few misses.

I play with the Wings and noticed that some of my players are wearing the wrong numbers. That happens later in the season but this is my first!!! Also, I have noticed that when a player gets hurt and helped to the back... they are on the ice for the next play. That is a little odd.

Just other little details that NHL 11 ignored along with the wrong Maple Leafs jersey.

I noticed EA mispelled Toronto Maple Laffs with "Leafs" too.. oh well, can't have everything. And weren't the shoulder logos changed just this summer? I doubt EA had time to add this minor change.

they have new jerseys this year, but they were unveiled a while back, like 3 months or so. and, once again, for other teams' jerseys, there is a code entry. come on EA,, just put the jerseys in the game

I just played the demo ( i am yet to pick up the game) and i did not notice much of a difference betweem the last installment. I am wondering whether i should spend the money for it, but i know when the season in NHL starts i will be buying it, even if it is reluctantly.

Perhaps the Leafs actually have to play a regular season game in those jerseys before they're allowed in the game. Who knows, or cares.

Get it. there is much more to it than the last game. It starts to play a bit differently with the new physics and faceoffs and whatnot. And the Be A Pro is better. You start with a CHL team in the Memorial Cup and make your way to draft day from there. It's pretty sweet.

It's probably because the Leafs suck and they were a second to last place team last year in the entire NHL so the only people that would care about this live in Toronto and I'm sure 99% of them don't a rats ass either ...They traded 2 1st round picks for Phil Kessel, enough said ....GO BRUINS!!!!!!
