Ninja Gaiden Plasma Saber

ok so i got ninja gaiden black from xbox originals and i beat it on normal but now i cant figure out how to get the plasma sword its driving me crazy i got 49 scarabs last time and i dont want to do that again the first playthrough was all work starting at a guide the whole time i wanna have fun this time

i beat the regular gaiden on the master level or whatever and i just got the plasma saber and new outfit when i started a new game. maybe your's is different since its the black version? check the cheats for it im sure there's something there or try beating it on a different difficulty

Unfortunately for Black, there is no successive play feature like the original had. When you start a new game, nothing carries over: no weapons, no scarabs, no techniques. You have to start over from scratch. I'm guess the main reason is to keep you challenged each time you play.

I don't recall the Plasmas Saber actually doing anything different from the Dragon Sword, other than making lightsaber-like sound effects.
