Dragon Sword Level 3
Actually it goes to level 4.
But yea, The Dragon Sword and Eclipse Scythe are all you will need to cut through the entire game.
The claws are my personal favorite though. Don't waste your money on those unless you are crazy good with them though.
They are only telling you half of the story. On Acolyte and Warrior the Eclipse Scythe is ONE of the Best. For me, on Warrior, The Lunar Staff and Vigoorian Flails placed me in the Ownage Hall of Fame - meaning I went through most of the game using one of those two. But on that difficulty you can fight anyone with any weapon and have a pretty good chance of winning. However, on Mentor I only use the the staff against small enemies in small groups. Once you get to the harder difficulting SPEED is your ultimate weapon - FLAILS, TONFAS, KURASI-GAMA, DRAGON CLAW'S & TIGER'S FANG, DRAGON SWORD, CLAWS - your tougher, slower weapons will get you killed or, at least, make it a little tougher for you.
Side note: It also depends on your skill. I spent all of my time learning the combos of my favorite weapons - makes it so much easier.
Overall, the Dragon Sword is your best bet. The scythe is awesome too. Every weapon has advantages in any given situation.
Don't really worry about what to level up. By the time you get to the end you'll have like 500,000+ essence. I did on warrior, at least.

Not really
Scythe = Jump spin attack, and the UT is amazing. After that switch back to the...
Dragon Sword = For everything else. Flying Swallow anyone?
The Scythe is slow, when you get to Mentor and above. But it's all about knowing when to use it.

Tell me where I was wrong. You weren't wrong.
When I first read it, it sounded like you were saying the staff wasn't really viable past Mentor, which is a popular opinion. Sorry just pointing out random info about the scythe.
[QUOTE="shadowblade323"]i got it yesterday and im on chapter 5 is that good

If you're playing on Warrior, yes. If you're playing on Acolyte, no.
Either way it's good, just stick with it. The game really starts to get brutal in chapters 10-14 though. Don't get frustrated, just put the controller down and come back to fight another day. Don't break or throw anything!!! lol

I see what you mean. I love using the Lunar Staff, I am a surgeon with it on Warrior. But using it on Mentor is far more difficult. Whereas, I hated the Claws before, now they are my bread and butter for most of the battles. Please Log In to post.
