NinjaGaiden 2 Weapons

is it necessary to get all the weapons in the game? (excluding acheivment reasons). Do you need all the weapons or do most of use stick with using the same one or two weapons throughout the game?

im on chapter 5 now and have more weapons now but i still just wanna use the staff, the other weapons are cool the the staff seems to be the best to use in all situations. and plus i powered up the staff so it seems stupid to not use it and use a weapon that have a lower level.

what do you think is the best weapon to use?

ya the scythe seems to be the best weapon in the game. Since ur on chapter 5, you'll get it as soon as u beat the boss. Its really good and does a lot more damge to most of the bosses in the game. Later on you'll get the blades of the archfied. You'll see wat tat weapon could do.

The original sword is the only one that goes to Level 4.

The Scythe and your starter sword are all you need in the entire game. I do love the claws though.

The double sword (dragon & tiger) also gets to level 4 near the end of the game as well.

the eclipse is the best weapon.

i killed 100 enemy just charging that Y button dunno what it called :P

i always use eclipse for big enemy's and falcon's tailon for small enemy's

and for bosses eclipse works best.

Depending on what difficulty you are playing on. I played the whole game on Warrior just using the Dragon Sword and Falcons Talons and occasionally the Scythe which helps a lot. It's all up to you of course.Mcderby4

Yea , on warrior or acolyte you can go through the entire game using just one weapon , and it doesn't matter which one . I want to see all these Scythe lovers attempt to use it a lot on mentor+ . You will be spammed to death in a matter or a second or two .

Actually further into it, the Scythe is one of the best ways to survive. I play the scythe/dragon sword all the way through mentor. You're gonna get spammed no matter what weapon you have. You just have to know when it's time to put it away and pull out the Dragon Sword.

And yet i would bet my life that you used the DS around 75% of the time . Mentor mode is filled with Is and rockets blasting you constantly from off screen . There is no way to handle these things with the scythe . It is by far the slowest weapon , and is also down there on range of the weapons . I beat Mentor with nothing but the DS . I could of used the scythe on bosses and a few other parts , but i went for the DS weapon run .

Starting to wonder if you guys have ever seen a really good scythe user...Besides dealing with ranged attacks (which is a pain no matter what weapon you are using) the scythe has some of the best techniques to deal with monsters that are normally pretty tough.

The jumping spin with the Scythe is probably the best weapon technique in the entire game.

Lol . I think any real good Ninja Gaiden player reading this wonders if you ever beat the game above warrior . The scythe has the best move in the game ? I am ranked in the top 100 so i would assume i am at least a decent player . I will tell you that you won't find a single great player who will agree that any Scythe move is even in the realm of effectiveness , that the DS + flying swallow brings . If you add a little Izuna Drop to it , then it makes the scythe look even worse .
