No early demo w/ BF:BC preorder

I pre-ordered my copy of Battlefield:Bad Company last Thursday at my local Gamestop store. The guy there took my email address and said I'll get a email with a code & instruction on how to get early access to a demo for the game.

Well, it's Monday & I still don't have any email & I checked with the store and they said there's nothing they can do.

Anyone else get boned on this?

I'm currently on hold for about 15 minutes (and counting) with customer service at Gamestop.

You aren't missing much. I played the beta for 3 hours one night and then didn't touch it again.

I think you're wrong - it says right on the web site for gamestop that if you rep=oreder, you get early access for a demo before it releases on xbl on June 5th.

Rep @ Gamestop said they show my info was not submitted, so she resubmitted it and said I sould have the code by tomorrow.

lol mine didn't even offer a code, and when i asked to get the "gold edition" of the game the turd at the counter was like "uh we only have one edition, the gold edition you're thinking of is probably like the call of duty one, and will be out a couple of months after the game with some new stuff."

i didnt feel like arguing so i said whatever. but ill deffinitely either go back when hes not working or when the manager is in. only thing i can think of being the problem is that i went to an EB Games, but im pretty sure GameStop owns EB Games. at first i thought maybe the gold edition was only in the US (i live in canada) but the bestbuy canadian site is offering the gold edition, as is futureshop (owned by bestbuy, essentially same store) so...lol ill check back at the store later and see what the deal is.

Thats why I avoid gamestop like the plague. Always after the pre-order, lack of customer service and just general lack of knowledge.

What a suprise - checked my email and I already have the code for the demo lass than 8 hrs since I spoke to a customer service rep @ Gamestop !!!

Now I have to wait for it to down load to try it out!!!!

IMO - it's not bad - controls feel kinda wierd at first after many hours of COD4 - but it's pretty cool just going nuts demolishing buildings and knocking over trees and stuff !!!

EB games here in Victoria (Canada) has really gone down hill. I inquired about the demo and the girl was like " I don't really know but we are getting some kind of disc in next week" I am like well it will be on Market Place on the 5th. The unemployment rate in my city is very small so places are putting up with less than adaquite employees just to stay open.

Future shop was just like "i don't know"
