becuase its a ps3 game i know 11 came out on 360 but that was a mmorpg so that was the only one that came out for it and i heard controls were horrible for it
yer and apparently it didnt feel much like a FF game...Also u need a monthly subscritption fee to play...but i wont be buying it, just that with FF 12 i wanna get it but my PS2 is on the brink and i dunno whether i can be bothered to take the risk of paying £30 for the game and setting up my PS2 for it to die out on me :S Dont suppose i will be playing it then. Also i thought i read that FF 13 will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but with differing versions ? :D
FF12 is a PS2 game, FF13 and FF13 Versus are PS3 games. Thing is we all know Sqeenix goes nuts with their games, storage is like corn chips to them, once theyve had so much they just cant stop consuming more. And when it comes to that, 360 loses out bigtime, and PS3 wins bigtime. Doesnt mean there wont be a FF for the 360, but if there is itll be either way cut back like blue dragon or FedEx will need a whole truck to bring the game over.

Blue Dragon is coming from the same trio that gave you Chrono Trigger...one of the few games from old that I think is just as much fun today as it was then. It might be up there with FF.
Yer. See ive spoken to friends about the 360 and a lot of them have sed they havent got one is because of its lack of major RPGs. But hopefully with the release of Blue Dragon, the 360 will really pick up pn the RPG side of things, It would gain a lot of votes if it did. :D

Well Blue Dragon didnt go down to well in Japan so I dont know if its going to be the big RPG for the 360, but Im sure there will be others.

Well the crippled Japanese Motorstorm outsold it in a big way and that was close to after launch. Id say Blue dragon is coming to the US etc simply becuase once again MS paid a lot ot get it made and they want to show their fans they can do FF to.

yer. I dont get why the Japanese dont favour the 360. Its got the hold over best online console and the array of games is somewhat amazing. I just dont see why they havent all got one yet especially as 360s are so cheap over there, i swear there practically giving them away ! :O

Plenty of reasons, Sony and Nintendo are local companies, they know that those companies have a set of titles they like but it goes much further than that. Sony for example is still one of the leaders in video and audio gear, they've got a solid brand and people know it well, MS on the other hand has a strong brand but is often associated with shoddy products which tend to break down. In the US MS is seen in a much more positive light, but in the US many things are seen differently. A great example of how MS is seen differently is that when Bill Gates was on the Daily show and he wasnt mocked (as they tend to do) there was quite the outrage outside the US, they couldnt understand why they didnt see him like the real world does.

Well for most its the association of Windows as being crash prone, unstable and of course unsafe. But most people outside the US dont like them for their tactics. Good example, DRDOS... the most popular DOS of its time but it didnt last long becuase windows always crashed when it was run on it. Devlopers could never figure out why so people just moved onto DOS again. Turns out MS sabotaged DRDOS by making windows crash on purose when DRDOS was used. MS has a habbit of wanting to just take over markets, this is why so many were concerned when they joined the console race. While they wont win this round they will try and use Live Anywhere to take the next. Im betting Sqeenix will do a MS FF one day, but perhaps not quite yet.

Well BC and Exlusives is a whole different thing again. Exclusives first gen were bound to goto MS as they have an installed user base, but when the PS3 passes the 10-15million mark devlopers wont need to spread things round as much and the exclusives numbers will return to normal. (BTW: PS3 and Resistance FOM are #1 and #2 ordered items in europe right now so I doubt youd get one on lauch at least:) )

RPGs are important to get a good mix of people on the system, if the only thing the 360 gets is Action games then the market will be unbalanced.teebeenz
Why thank you once again :) You have to be one of the most rational persons i have met over the internet. You're right if the only games to be released are shooters than MS is practically setting its target audience and if it ever wishes to win over Japan (We wont go there lol) or any over market, company or Country it has to broaden its horizons. Im sorry but after the 7th Gears or the 10th Halo or Rainbow 21 people will turn to other consoles for answers and choice. And thats most probably, if there is, the reason that PS3 will be crowned 'King' of the next gens...if it does lol :DÂ
Well when you have no RPGs or any major casual games you lose the female market which makes the PC and PS market a whole lot of cash. BTW: You might want to reconsider the numbers thing, as of GTA4 there will have been...around 9 GTAs

This isn't a serious question is it? I know Square talked about braodening their horizions but judging by how long it took for the game to get out ont he PS2 in the excellent condition that it was in took long enough, I don't think Square wanted to rework everything and uphaul the graphics for the 360. I have it for the PS2 and love it, controls and everything. No it's not a traditional FF, but it really feels like it does advance the series, it's certainly one of the best games of the last year, and as a whole it's, to me anyway, one of, if not the best, FF in recent memory. I'd rank the 3-D FFs as follows. 1. FFVIII 2. FFIX 3. FFXII 4. FFX, though it's a toss up 5. FFVII 6. FFXI 7. FF X-2 But the game coming to the 360 just doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe FFXIII will, but even that I see as a stretch.

Oh cool thanks for answering. Erm yer i agree i suppose. I suppose it was more hope. If they released a FF game for the 360 tomorrow i would get it that very day...but i suppose u cant have everything in life. I just think that more people, especially as we are ending the current-gen era, would buy an FF game if it came to the 360.

See i was SURE that the 13th one was coming to 360...in my GamesMaster magazine ages back...but ok if its not then yer at least a few more years before one thats decent appears on the 360.

FF12 will fund FF13 and FF13vs which helps them bypass the need to go multiplatform. The only reason GTA4 is on the 360 this time round is the 10million units already there to get cash from. Soon as PS3 is viable by itself theyll slowly move back to PS3, or at least many companies will. Sqeenix is very smart, they plan this stuff out well ahead of most other companies. They have to, they're so big in Japan their software releases cost the country hundreds of millions of dollars as half the population decides to pull a sickie on launch day :)

I thought they just put XI on there because they paid Square a ton of money so that they could have an MMO on a console to impress people and since FFXI was old Square figured they could breathe more life in to it by branching off to a next gen console, not just because they thought it would be kind to put FFXI on the 360.

Well thats why FF11 is different, a standard FF has 1 cost then its all proft, but 11 has a constant need for money and so as many people they can get on it helps. You can expect to see them do that again if they do another MMO.
