I don't see how anyone could be hyped for it. Its taking forever... I guess were lucky we see a video on it every year or so. At least we know its still in development.
I don't think I would use the word "hyped". I would say that I'm interested in this game the same way I was before. I want to know more about it, I like to follow the updates but I'm not overly excited. That would come when it has a release date (if at all).
I think hype is one of the worst things we can do to ourselves. Rarely does a game (movie, event, etc) live up to those expectations. Truthfully I can't remember the last time I was super excited for something and it didn't disappoint on any level. Better to go in neutral I think.

In the year 2020 we can use it to show our children how much games have improved graphically. Every hour of gameplay equals one year of development.
Personally, I'm glad they are taking their time. Hopefully this means a really polished, great playing game with an amazing story and some real scares. Better than a rushed version or sending it out before it's done.

Alan Wake was in the same category as Duke Nukem Forever, though I guess Alan Wake is now looking better by comparison, though only because DNF has been cancelled :P Seriously, Alan Wake looked impressive when it was first shown, but so much time has passed that what was ground breaking 5 years ago, isn't all that special any more. For me there is no hype for this game. IF it ever comes out I certainly won't be rushing to the shops to get it.
nope. honestly, i dont think about it all that much, put it on the backburner. that way, i dont really lose hype cause i dont really think about how long its been in development. when i do hear news i get pumped, knowing a little bit more but never too overexcited. should be great when it comes out. i really believe we'll see something at this e3 about it

hopefully by taking all this time their game will be beautiful landscapes and an engaging story. But if there is no showing at E3, i will be a little crestfallen.

I was interested in it because it seemed to be one of the few true horror titles being released but with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Ju-On coming to the Wii I don't care so much anymore.
I wish that the devs would take notice of threads like these all over the internet and hurry the hell up. I really want it, thriller games don't usually disappoint.
I was hyped about it but now I lost interest in it. Maybe I buy/rent it when it comes out but for now, I'm not excited. The only game I'm a bit hyped now is Assassin's Creed 2.
