With the lack of topics, it would appear as I'm the only person who's anticipating this game for Xbox 360. Say it ain't so, X360 forum. Is no one else wanting to buy this game?

Honestly, I could never play a Sims game on the console. It will always be a PC game to me. Just like strategy games are always meant to be on the PC only.
I enjoyed the sims on the PC but the console conversion on the PS2 was pretty rubbish so i'll have to wait for the reviews as at the minute im expecting the worse but hopefully i'll be wrong
To me its just a pc game only really...and where did you get the medic symbol on your xbox tag? With the lack of topics, it would appear as I'm the only person who's anticipating this game for Xbox 360. Say it ain't so, X360 forum. Is no one else wanting to buy this game?

Might be good. But really with all the other good games coming out I can't give attention to Sims 3.
I want it for 360. My laptop is nowhere near powerful enough to run it. I have to say I can't stand people who say "oh it should only be played on PC." What about people like me who either don't want to game on PC or can't? MystikRexif you played this on pc..then 360 you would know..some games just don't/cant be played to their full potential ona console. its good for you ya...for a watered down version that is...
Just as everybody has already said, some PC games should never be ported over to consoles. Starcarft II on the Xbox 360 and PS3 would be a joke.

I have played the Sims on PC actually. That was when I had a PC capable of playing games. I prefer gaming on consoles though. So much simpler. Some games can't be played to their full potential on a console? The Sims is not one of them. If you've been paying any attention to the console version you will know that it's shaping up to be a very similar experience to PC. The only difference being I can just pop in the disk and play.
How do you know exactly? Just because you use a mouse ad keyboard? Seeing as Starcraft hasn't been ported to consoles, no one knows how it would be.Just as everybody has already said, some PC games should never be ported over to consoles. Starcarft II on the Xbox 360 and PS3 would be a joke.

Clearly, you've never played Starcraft. And second, the original Starcraft was ported to the N64. It sucked, everybody agreed, end of story.

Didn't really answer my question. How do you know it wouldn't work on a console if it hasn't been done? And I mean the current gen of consoles not the N64.

Starcraft is a game that is played using Hotkeys. Hotkeys basically make it so that every time you hit a key on the keyboard it opens up a menu, unit, or building. This way you can control several different things at once without even looking at them. This is what makes Starcraft such a quick game, and without the ability to control several different parts of the map at once without changing your screen you would be left behind in the dust.

I'd be interested, but then again, I don't really enjoy Sims games that much.
i am going to put god as a sim in my game!

I never knew Elochai had a physical representation.

Go back in time, and speak to the 10 year old me who thought the name was cool :P.
And in case you didn't know, Elochai is Hebrew for God.
I got a Sims game on a console once. It was a horrible experience. I'd much rather play on PC - and I don't normally play games on PC.Time_Child
it must have been because you were having a hard time playing the game with a gamepad. there is that same complaint with real time strategy games on consolesbecause it is more efficient on the personal computer apparently.
I don't enjoy The Sims for the proper way of playing the game, I like to have fun :D. Basically my way of having fun on the old Sims game (Sims 1 Deluxe or something) was to input the money cheat code and build my own house. Then I would do things like stay up late watching TV, and going to bed at like 5am and take the toilet away until, well, you know :P. I also liked to set a part of the house on fire while the only one who lives there is sleeping LOL. If you can still do this stuff in Sims 3, count me in... on possibly the first day!! can you? :D. I'd love to have that Deluxe Edition again.Ashley_wweWell I can't say i did the mean things lol, but my sims never slept right. I always just played the Sims to build hosues and such. Honestly my only sims games I ever owned were on console. well minus Sim City. I actually really like the Sims games on the console. Im pretty excited that I get to build 2 story houses now though :). That was one of the features I really wish the older Sims games on the Consoles had.

The Sims 3 for consoles is supposed to be the base PC game.
Have the pc version wouldnt even blink to get this..We even have a expansion coming this month..Late night, what they going to do with expansions on sims 3 for consoles..Are they going to be doing dlc, they just going to make late night a stand alone game..Thats your problem right now..The base game for the sims 3 is basically boring..Once they start adding stuff for your sims to do..It gets better each expansion..There bringing the hot tub back now an the instruments..In the future when they have seasons an pets..How you going to incorporate this into the console version..Just cant be done..Its why ill sitck to the pc version..Nuiff said..
I agree with that. The Sims base games, even on PC, are pretty boring. It's the expansion packs that make them fun. If I buy a Sims game, I buy all of the expansions they have to maximize the experience.Have the pc version wouldnt even blink to get this..We even have a expansion coming this month..Late night, what they going to do with expansions on sims 3 for consoles..Are they going to be doing dlc, they just going to make late night a stand alone game..Thats your problem right now..The base game for the sims 3 is basically boring..Once they start adding stuff for your sims to do..It gets better each expansion..There bringing the hot tub back now an the instruments..In the future when they have seasons an pets..How you going to incorporate this into the console version..Just cant be done..Its why ill sitck to the pc version..Nuiff said..

My laptop could run it, but I don't really care for PC games honestly. At least I can gladly pay my $65 to make houses for hours on end lol.
