No SILENT HILL Review??? Unbelievable.

This is a huge gaming franchise that spawned a feature film, toys, and numurous successful game titles over the span of close to a decade or more. But there is still no review for this game on this site? Dead Space and Saints Row 2 get reviews on the day they are released in stores. Both scores are no lower than a 8 out of 10. The website banner is a SR2 ad and the main feature article is the Dead Space review. That my friends is called great marketing and I'm sure the publishers of those titles paid a fortune to have all that done.

I love this site but I just wanted to say that we're not stupid and expect more.

No I don't 'need' the review. I rented it. Loved it. But I visit this site because I enjoy reading about games. And I enjoy reading what GS has to say about games. Sometimes I refer to the reviews when deciding on a game. But usually it's just pure curiosity over what a certain game was rated.

F****** Fracture got a review before Silent Hill did. I mean, come on. They have time to write a review about a s*** game but they can't review a title from one of the most successful gaming franchises ever?

It's either laziness or lack of financial gain. That is what angers me.

And when people write stuff like 'OMG, I really want Dead Space now!".. they're just falling for the whole marketing bullcrap that we're being fed.

has nothing to do with wanting the score of the game hokie! its about this site not reviewing games they dont make money on. OR MAYBE! they got payed to DELAY the review.

All i know is gamespot editors have turned into lame-ass corporate fan-boys... money fanboy's.

Like someone said before me: Its been almost 2 weeks, and nothing... But somehow they have a review for a game as big as SR2 has it first day, that doesnt make sense.

JFYI: I have NO interest in Sillent Hill, just interested in why gamespot spend more time modderating people than it does reviewing games.

I've seen Gamespot give bad scores to games that advertised on this very site. So I don't buy into that.

They probably just have a small staff and it does take several days to play through a game (which is what reviewers are always supposed to do).

Yeah, I haven't heard much about this game. Kinda awkward, nobody has even mentioned it in the forums much.

Just because it's 7 games in doesn't mean anything. Resident Evil 4 was very diffent than the previous RE games and almost more of a shooter than a horror survival game. The developers are going to try and make a fresh game with every entry and sometime it's works. Other times it doesn't.

Great response! Though your post was rife with spelling errors I found that I really agreed with what you had to say. I played the original RE games but the fourth felt like a completely different franchise. For all the people that said just go buy it: It must be nice to have unlimited funds, I believe the point of the review system is to give you an indication of whether or not you should buy or rent this game or avoid it completely...
