Hey... this may seem like a newbish question, but I was wondering if a 360 would work properly on a normal "old" TV set that only has the standard AV wires (you know, red, white and yellow?). Since I can't really afford to buy both a 360 and a shiny new HDTV, I figured keeping my old TV would be best. Also, are there significant differences in image quality?

I looked on the box of the 360 Elite and it only comes with HDAV wires, which, to my assumption, isn't compatible with the aforementioned TV I have. I also looked around Future Shop for a standard 3 plug AV wire for the 360, but failed to find one. So yeah, I really wanna play some Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, Eternal Sonata and yes, even Viva Pinata... go ahead... laugh.

'nyways, thanks in advance,

WHYL

yep, works fine on SDTV although, some games, the text will be too small for you to read on SDTV.

They come with component cables which has the cables you need for SD. so dont fret.

its comes with AV cables that work on SDTV, i use a SDTV as well :) dont worry about the quality that much, IMO the extra pixels makes it look better, but its nothing to go the extra mile for. but yeah like the poster above me, some text is tough to read, just move the couch a little closer than :D and viva pinata is really great i hear, haven't had a chance to play it yet either.
