What does it mean when your Xbox 360 gets bricked? Does it mean like that big power supply thing doesn't work anymore or what?

That usually happens with firmware, it usually happens when your installing custom firmware. It's kind of like updating your motherboard on ur computers Bios and then turning it off before its done. It's extremal rare on consoles unless you hacking them.It basically kills the chip on the motherboard of the 360 by failing to update it.

Bottom Line: If it is as functional as a brick, its bricked, hence the term.
