Try getting in contact with the gears of war publisher (Microsoft? I am not 100% on that) and you can usually send your disk back and get it replaced for like £5 here which would be $10 (a big saving from $30-$40).
Also you could try as somebody else mentioned the cd scratch repair thing at a shop to see if it can be sorted as this can work as well.

actually i searched up some stuff on youtube
and i used toothpaste,yes toothpaste,and put it on the disk, but before that i put hot water on disc,ANWAYS,it works for now,,so im happy,but still am scared for later on,,ill be purchasing some disc cleaners as well
