NOOOOOOOOOOOO say it isn't so!!! R.I.P.GeOW..12/25/07- 5/23/08

my Gears Of War disc is scratched and I can't play it any more! and just when I REALLY started to enjoy the online! I don't feel like buying a new one... here are my options... please tell me which option is the best..

well before I officially dub it broken, I want to try to really to get that long scratch out..but if that doesn't work, here are my alternatives...

1.) swap it with a Blockbuster copy - I'm not sure if this would work...I'm sure Blockbuster would be prepared for these things and they may have a chip or something on their disc.

2.) buy a used one - how much does it go for used these days... or even new... is it still $60?

(I'm straying more toward these next 2)

3.) swap it with my friends GeOW and don't tell him - ok my best friend never even plays his GeOW...even recently saying "I hate this game" because he blows at it...if he even decides to play it again before the release of Gears 2 he probably wouldn't give half a crap if it didn't work..I'm sure he wouldn't care, (and wouldn't notice) if I sneak away with his..

4.) ask him for his copy - "listen mike...my Gears just broke and I was really starting to get into it and you are starting to hate it...do you think maybe I can have yours (for a little while at least) ..I mean you don't even like the game... and Gears 2 is coming soon so....oh and I will even give you a 10 spot for it.."

SO...which of the 4 paths of destiny should I take?

the 3rd 1 is extremely dumb, go with 4 but just ask to borrow it, as that might get u the game more easily, "borrow" it until gears 2 come out then give back 1 to him lolLightColor

sign up for the $8.00 a month gamefly account, rent it off there. swap it since they dont have chips, then cancle the subcription only having to pay $8 for your new copy.FLzthvikings87

I kinda don't feel like going through the hassel...but this is an awesome idea... if my friend doesn't wanna give up his I'll probably do this

Go to that same blockbuster and ask them to resurface it for you, it only takes a minute and they should do it for freegregbmil

WTF!! a chip in the game? lol.. ive been doing that blockbuster swap thing for a long time and ive never been caught.. and i know some ppl will be like " Well, thats stealing" um actully when blockbuster finds that a game is scratched they send it in adn get a free new copy to put on the shelves so i wouldnt call it stealing at all... Go with the 2nd option
