so about lets say a week or two ago my box which has been fine for about a year and a haft stopped reading my discs. when i put something in it will start up like its about to run then like just stop and then will show unstead of reading.. open tray like there isnt anything in it. its doing it all the time now before when it started i would try a few times and it ended up working or id blow into it now nothing is working. this is my 2nd xbox too. my first one the tray stopped openig but i had that 3yr and got this new halo ed from best buy. what should i do? i thought about just buying a disc cleaner maybe the lens is dirty or getting some duster and spraying it down but its never that easy.

It could be a problem with your laser. I had the same problem with the PS21.

I had the same problem as you. I bought one of those air canisters and that didnt help at all. As i final desperate act i tried to put the 360 vertical (instead of its usual horizontal position) and it worked like a charm. After that I stuck it back on its side and havent had the problem since. True its prolly just a matter of time before it happens again, but for the last 3 months i've been able to play xbox :D

Its probably just the xbox, it cant read the discs anymore, you should call costumer support and they will fix it.

My brothers Xbox did the same thing. The discs wouldn't spin at all. You'll probably just need to phone up 1-800-4-my-xbox. Good luck.
