Darksiders and then Prototype, these 2 games are going to be amazing, just did some reading in this month's game informer and keep track of these 2 games.
Prototype is open world type game, and is crazy. You awake from a lab and enter New York City (your messed with in the lab and have been tinkered with (virus of some sort) and you have like 5 or so special abilities, the coolest is you can take the form of people you kill. Plus with being a mutant/human ( you can jump crazy distances a la crackdown, grow claws ). One instance you could jump over car's and crap, but as you advanced with your claws , you could just shred the car's apart. The plot line is a War is going on in New York City (3 factions) You the Prototype that can adapt (by killing people and taking their form), then you got the virus ( hellsih looking beasts), and finally the Army. All during this the Army is fighting a war against the Virus and you the Prototype can manipulate both sides as this War take's place. During the game you'll learn about your history (but developers said you'll be talking to other gamers to find out because you have to find the clues that piece the story). On top of this , it's 2-player Co-op. The other game Darksiders is described as Zelda meet's God of War, the developer was a comic book artist and the game has You as a character named "WAR" and your character is in the vein of a Gear's of War character but a dark comic looking bada$$. The bosses are huge, but your character "WAR" learn's and acquires abilities (oh your an horseman of the apocalypse) which you'll need to defeat them and to also aquire access to different area's of the game(your abilities). Later in the game you'll aquire your horse (which you'll be able to summon at any time). One thing the Dev's pointed out was the combo's, You could make a leap with your horse, jump off of it do an aerial attack, then before you land, you could summon your horse and ride off swiftly, and you'll also be able to do some walker texas ranger sh*t on your horse, not just running around in circles swinging away. This is the best I can describe the 2 game's but do some searching because I'm sure you'll get a better idea.
