...just got back from a book signing where Drew Karpyshyn was signing copies of his book DARTH BANE: PATH OF DESTRUCTION...he was lead writer for Bioware on KOTOR I and is now a consultant to LucasArts and Lucasfilm...he was asked about KOTOR III and said that it is not even in the pre-stages of development and to not expect it until at least 2009 at the earliest...he was asked if he'd be involved and he said that it probably wouldn't be a Bioware project but he'd love to write the novelization for LucasFilm...he said that the current plan is to focus on the FORCE UNLEASHED marketing blitz in the fall and that then move on to the new CLONE WARS cartoon and that the next STAR WARS games after would be focused on them...he also said that the TV series is set for '09 but he doesn't have much details...so there it is: no KOTOR 3 in development as of yet. It's really weird to see LucasArts let their three biggest STAR WARS franchises (Battlefront, KOTOR, and Republic Commando) go without sequels...
This pisses me off beyond belief. What the hell. Cheap developers like EA cram out sequels every year, but truly huge games sellers take a lifetime (finger points at Ninja Gaiden). Seriously, I want the great games, don't they want the easy money?

thats the thing tho, the best games dont come out every year. the most critically aclaimed games dont come out every year. Examples: the Halo Series, the GTA Series, the Metal Gear Series, the Zelda Series ect...
