is gears still king of xbo live are has the prodical son returned to the throne? I personally think MC is back on the throne but thats just me?

i played gears MP and really didn't get into it much. Halo 3 MP on the other hand i'm totally into. The ranks and video replays really make it a great online experience. Plus customizing your character is really fun too.

Halo for sure. Now that I look back, I put up with a lot of crap for Gears' online, and really it was just something different flavored with nicer graphics.

Cool I only played both angist a coule friends offline its just that....... IAM getting XBOX LIVE SOON BABY WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I cant wait to play hao 3 online hell yea! btw does a harddrive affect how mutch lag u get?

I prefer Halo 3 Mp over gears. Although I love Geow MP too.

Theres no question. Halo 3 crushes Gears' multiplayer in every single way. It's pretty much fact, not even kidding. When Gears shipped out, it had 3 identical game modes, the maps are pathetically symmetrical, the gamplay gets repetitive within a week. Halo 3 on the other hand, shipped with a ton of diffrent gameplay modes for matchmaking, the maps are great, and when combined with forge, very flexible. The custom game system aloneallows for dozens upon dozens of unique gamemodes in combination with the forge. Not to even forget the neat community and film features. Basically Halo 3 is better than Gears, don't even try to compare the two.

In Halo there is much more strategy and weapon choice. In Gears its pretty much who can get close and hit someone with a shotgun. Memories of Quake 3 arena surface.. I think that sums up which is more fun. I like gears.. but halo 3 online is perfect. Maulers, snipers, shotguns, assault rifles, sticky grenades and much more all have their purpose. It's like Command and Conquer vs Starcraft.

im pretty sure dis topic has nttn 2 do wit cod 4s...the game is not even out yet n the beta is good yes but no tellin how the full game will actually b...o n Halo 3 Crushes Gears...no question at all...gears is just a shotty fest wit no fun or excitement...just the "oooooo snappP!!" when u c ur body crush in2 pieces...

For me, HALO 3 will be on the throne until COD4 comes along... if the game lives up the hype that is.

Halo 3 is fun and better than Halo 2 but the MP is basically just rehashed and prettied up. I'm not saying that it's not fun but I still prefer Gears' multiplayer. That being said, CoD4 is going to blow both away. I have played the CRAP out of the beta and it's the best MP by FAR!!! I can't wait for that game!
