I really wish he'd do the Halo movie...

I was thoroughly impressed with this movie, from the story and the underlying meanings, to the camera work and the pace. I loved it, so far it's my favorite movie of 2009 and it is definitely in my top rank of movies ever. I highly recommend it.

I really wish Blomkamp would go back to the movie, instead of Speilberg...

yeah district 9 was amazing compared to some of the other movies out there right now. i hope he makes a new movie soon...

Really stoked to hear all of the praise for this thing. really looking forward to del toro working with jackson as well on the hobbit. that guy can make movies too.

district 9 is so amazing i just saw it today and i was so impressed, imagine what blomkamp can do with a big hollywood budget. i also hope some of the actors get recognized

although i was never interested in the halo universe in the first place, i would like to see what he can do with it. district 9 is simply amazing, it's the best movie i've watched in my life, for now of course. he did say sometime ago that even if he was offered to make a halo movie, he wont, though hopefully for the sake of halo fans, he changes his mind. you know what i'm thinking. i want this guy to work on a mass effect movie, seriously. him and peter jackson, the perfect combo, together with their special effect team. i would love to see a real-life looking turian.

Peter Jackson did not have much to do with this movie, and for me that is a good thing. I can not forgive him for King Kong. The Lord of the Rings movies are over rated...way too long and bloated. If he made a Halo movie, i am sure it would be a technical marvel, but probably overlong and boring too. IMO.

I agree, District 9 was fantastic. Would love it if Blomkamp came back to Halo as he would probably make it the dark, gritty and powerful movie it should be instead of a cgi heavy, kiddy, shallow travesty it's bound to be under Spielberg

Guillermo del Toro and Peter jackson are making the hobbit together?! Oh man that will be amazing. Del Toro has some of the best creature designs ever, can't wait to see that combined with Jackson's style.

Glad people are as impressed by this movie as I was. I really hope he changes his mind and takes reign over the Halo movie again. I agree with a previous post here, I don't think Speilberg can do it justice. He's just not the same as he used to be.

I want a prawn arm and the mech suit. I would definitely spend my money on both of those, especially the mech suit. I saw the midnight showing of the movie, and I agree; Awesome movie, definitely my favorite movie to come out this year.

Haha that's a great idea! I would spend money on District 9 stuff. And I agree, this is the best movie since Dark Night. Iuno if it's better or not, seeing as how that was my last "top" movie. But both are up there.
